November Update

ree

This month, for God’s glory, we saw Him do far more than we could have imagined.

The church nursery was inaugurated, 420 people attended an open-air service, and 25,000 packets of gospel literature were passed out door to door. Andrés and Mica were married, 27 from the U.S. and 7 from Tucumán came to help us evangelize, the church bus route was started, dozens were saved and 6 followed the Lord in baptism. We had 62 first-time visitors, took on a new missionary, installed a TV in the entryway, and our family was able to go camping and fishing together. New media equipment was installed, we began livestreaming the preaching, the breakfast counter in the entryway was built, and a couple dozen more Bibles were added to the church bookstore. Thank you so much to every one of you who prays and gives regularly—we truly could not do what we do without you.

To say we stayed busy is an understatement. I don’t have the words, space, or time to fully describe everything God has done and is doing—but what a joy it is to be a small part of His work. Satan hasn’t been idle either, but we are more than conquerors in Christ. For us, it is an incredible privilege to be here serving, and we are just at the beginning of a journey in which God will be greatly exalted and His kingdom advanced in this part of the world—and you get to participate in that. You get the joy of reading these updates and seeing pictures and videos of what God is doing, and we would absolutely love for you to come and see it in person someday.

To those who give faithfully each month, and to those who have given special offerings—large or small—thank you. Many of you gave specifically toward the van, and we are currently in the process of trying to purchase one. It will probably take a few months before we can complete that, but from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Humanly speaking, our ministry would be completely handcuffed without your generosity. Because you have chosen to invest in what God is doing here in Argentina, the work continues to move forward. At the same time, there is still so much more ground we long to cover. I don’t want to sound like we are always asking for something, or that God must always provide through the U.S. dollar, but there are several areas where we are praying to move forward for a greater impact—areas where the Lord might lead you or your church to invest. We are fervently praying for land for the church (we are currently in negotiations but lack the down payment), a church bus, a sound mixer, cameras for our growing video outreach, an FM radio station, and a tractor to maintain the land God has loaned us for future camps and church activities. On a personal level, we are also praying for a vehicle and the ability to build our home soon.

We are moving forward at a steady pace and always trying to push just a little further, and God keeps blessing. My heart burns to see every person in and around our region have the opportunity to hear a clear presentation of the gospel. That is the goal we are striving toward, and we will not stop until the Lord returns or calls us home. I believe God will use Victory Baptist to spread His Word to everyone who will hear across Argentina. In the next six months, by God’s grace, we plan to start an FM radio station to reach our city and surrounding areas with 24/7 Bible preaching and gospel messages. With the right equipment, we could potentially reach up to one million people with that station alone. We expect to outgrow our current church facility, begin construction on our home, and hold our first camp. There is only so much we can do with what we have, but as God’s people pray and as He leads some to give, we can move forward faster for His glory. Thank you for praying, for giving, and for standing with us—we are excited to see what God will do next.

For His glory,

Benjamin & Bernice George
