June Report

Dear Friends and Partners,
June marks the beginning of our cold winter weather. This month we had the privilege of having my father, Missionary Brian George, visit along with my mom and sisters. We enjoyed their company for a week, and my dad preached to the church over the weekend. On June 7th at 1am, we were robbed! A young man jumped the wall and did not take much, but he saw everything and took my sister's purse from right next to where she was sleeping. We are okay, just shaken up knowing that someone was inside the place we live while we were asleep. It will be a relief to move soon, because we feel that we are a target here where we currently live. When we are in our own place, we will be able to build it so that our family is much safer.
This month God also opened the door for the church to rent a new facility nearby that is a bit larger! Lord willing, the church will be moving to this new location in a few weeks. It will give us more space to grow. We would be renting a warehouse—an empty building that will need to be built out to function as a church—so there is work ahead to get it ready, but we are excited for what this could mean for the ministry.
This month our family also had the great privilege of purchasing a property that has something of a house already started on it. It is exciting for us. The house has four walls and a roof, but no kitchen, proper bathroom, electrical, or plumbing. It has a long way to go before it is properly finished and will cost a sizable amount of money, but that will be done as God provides. We plan to move our family there in a few weeks, as our rental contract is finishing and we need to get out from under the overhead of renting, which is a huge expense. It will be pretty rough initially, but I'm looking forward to the process. A few weeks ago, I sent out a separate letter explaining this in detail and asking for financial help. Please pray for God's provision to get the place in order as soon as possible, and for our safety. The house is not in an unsafe area, but it does not yet have a proper wall around it and has no close neighbors. It worries me when we go to church at night, because no one will be home and it is currently very easy to break in. I will have this addressed as soon as possible, but I would appreciate your prayers for safety, because we know that it comes from the Lord.
For Christ’s Glory,
Benjamin & Berenice George
