Fellow Partner,
On March 15th, we returned from Chile. It was a blessing to visit and get to know more of my wife’s family. It was also a privilege to visit Pastor Vial’s church in Iquique. Then, on March 17th, Bernice celebrated her birthday—and we’re excited to share that she is expecting our second child in August! We had a wonderful time celebrating with most of the church family. This month, we also painted the apartment complex where we live to keep it looking nice, and Santiago from the church helped me start building our new media booth, which we hope to finish this week.
On the 26th, Pastor Ezekiel Rojas visited us from Tucumán and presented his ministry to our church. We had just finished a teaching series on finances and concluded it with a focus on missions, launching our first Faith Promise Sunday. Pastor Rojas pastors two churches and leads evangelistic campaigns throughout Argentina, and God has used him to see many souls saved this past year. During Sunday morning service, our church members made their monthly missions commitments—and I was overwhelmed by their faith. They committed $285 USD monthly, almost equal to our total monthly tithes! I cried, because I’ve never seen this kind of response in Argentina. If the people God has entrusted me to pastor are willing to give this way, I know He will bless them and our church in a mighty way. This step of faith now allows us to support Pastor Rojas with $200 per month, which is unusually generous by Argentine standards—perhaps a first. My prayer is that Victory Baptist will be a church that leads by example in missions, both in prayer and in giving.
Thank you for your prayers and sacrificial giving! God is truly at work in Argentina, and you are a vital part of what He is doing here in Posadas. Please continue to pray for God to provide a larger meeting space—we are nearly full and believe we could grow quickly with more room. So far, every rental door has closed. We even tried to rent a beautiful building that had been available for two years, but it was taken just the week before we inquired. We’ve also explored purchasing land, but those doors have also closed. Please pray with us for God’s clear direction—whether it be a rental or land to purchase.
We’re also excited to share that we’re starting our first bus route! Last week during soulwinning, we saw 9 people make professions of faith, and one of them came to church on Sunday! Over the next few months, we’ll need to purchase a bus to help bring more people to church. There is nothing more fulfilling than serving God fully and seeing Him at work up close. May the name of Jesus be lifted high!
For Christ Glory,
Benjamin & Berenice George
