Come See What God Is Doing in Argentina
It has been a wonderful month, and I would like to invite you to come visit us in person. We are working hard and seeking God in prayer more and more, as our primary desire is to please our Savior and advance His kingdom — and He continues to amaze us.
This month, we had the privilege of having Brother Guth visit again. He challenged the church to know God more deeply and to walk in His path instead of leaning on our own wisdom. We also had the privilege of hosting Seth and Haley Robinson for a week. It was a joy to share a bit of Argentina with them and we genuinely enjoyed their company.
Right now, we are in the middle of several things at once — multiple personal projects, preparation for further church growth, and planning for next year's first round of camps, for which we are in dire need of a tractor and could really use a mini excavator as well. Meanwhile, we are dealing with an overflowing church van each week on the bus route and serious space constraints inside the church itself.
To give you a picture of what "space constraints" actually means: at times we have up to 8 babies along with 2 to 4 mothers crammed into a 10x10-foot nursery. We have up to 15 children ages 2 to 6 plus 2 teachers in another 10x10-foot room — and on rainy days they stay in that space the entire service because they can't play outside. And we have up to 18 children ages 6 to 12 meeting in the office, also a 10x10-foot room. Some days the children are literally stacked on top of each other, and our staff have told me it is hard to manage so many in such a small space — honestly, I don't know how they do it.
The church rental contract ends in August, and we are asking God to provide a larger nearby location very soon. There is a facility about a mile away that I am asking God to allow the church to rent — it would be ideal for years to come, as it is much larger than where we are now. Right now we are held back by a lack of finances to rent the larger facility as it cost a bit more than the current facility, and we would also need to invest some funds into turning it into a proper church space as it is an empty warehouse with offices and large yard for parking and outdoor activities.
This pressure excites me, because we can see God at work, and we are simply trying to draw closer to Him for wisdom and provision. It is a bit overwhelming, but it is good, and it is God's will. I believe He is pleased through this, because it makes us rely on Him further.
Please pray for wisdom above all, and that God would make each step clear for our family and the church. As a family, we are seeking to acquire our own home soon. Our rental contract finishes in August, as we currently live in an apartment on the church property. We are weighing two options: building a very small home on our own property — roughly 376 square feet (a 5x7 meter footprint) — or purchasing the house directly across the street, which is already livable, fully connected to utilities, and significantly larger at around 1,030 square feet (8x12 meters). Remarkably, both options would cost us about the same amount. We are asking God to make the path forward clear.
Above all, it is so exciting to be here. When you drive the 14-passenger church van with 22 people inside (I know you're not supposed to exceed capacity, but when people are standing because there's no room left, I can only thank God they all came — and ask Him for more vehicles), you know God is moving.
Thank you for standing with us in prayer and partnership.
For Christ’s Glory,
Benjamin & Berenice George
