Who we are
Meet the George family
Benjamin grew up on the mission field in Argentina, the third generation of his family to serve here. He surrendered to full-time service at fifteen and trained at Beth-el Baptist Seminary in Tucumán.
Bernice trusted Christ as a child in Iquique, Chile, and grew up in the same church in Tucumán. She graduated as a critical care nurse in 2020, the year they married.
They returned to Argentina in December 2023, settled in Posadas, and founded Victory Baptist Church on September 1, 2024.

What we believe
- The Bible, inspired by God, is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice. We use the King James Version.
- The local church is independent and self-governing, accountable to the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Every believer may come to God in prayer directly through Jesus Christ, our Great High Priest.
- Two ordinances, baptism and the Lord’s Supper, picture what Christ did for us. They have no part in salvation.
- Soul liberty: every person is free to choose what he believes, and is accountable to God.
- Church members are saved and have been baptized as believers.
- Two offices: pastor and deacon.
- Church and state are separate, each with its own God-given role.
The mission
Reaching Posadas, and from Posadas, the nations
Posadas is the capital of Misiones, on the Paraná River across from Encarnación, Paraguay. Through Victory Baptist Church (Iglesia Bautista Victoria), we want to see Christ glorified and the gospel go out from here, training Argentine believers to reach their own people.

Salvations and baptisms
Many have trusted Christ, and 28 have followed the Lord in baptism since the church began.
Children and families
A nursery and children’s classes for ages 2–6 and 6–12 serve the families God is sending.
Saturday bus route
35–40 people ride to church each week, many of them whole families and teens who could not come on their own.
Evangelism
Gospel literature door to door, open-air services, and visiting teams. Our first open-air service drew 420 people.
A giving church
Members give to missions every month out of the church’s own offerings.
Media
Video and social media carry the preaching beyond our walls. In 2026 our church ran all the media for a national conference.

A changed life
One service. One changed life.
Sebastián came to our first service, feeling a strong conviction that he needed to come, even though he wasn’t attending church. That day, he heard the gospel, trusted Christ, and was later baptized.
Since then, he has been growing faithfully, surrendered his life to full-time service, and now serves as our part-time video editor and social media director.

Since 1974, the George family has preached the gospel and planted churches in Argentina.
1974
Russell and Margaret George
A Nebraska farmer saved in his early twenties, Russell brought his family to Argentina and planted three churches around Buenos Aires. Those churches continue today. Russell and Margaret served the Lord faithfully until He called them home.
1996
Brian and Liesl George
Brian grew up on the field and returned in 1996 with his wife, Liesl, and their firstborn, Benjamin. Since 2003 they have served in Tucumán, reaching northwest Argentina with the gospel.
2023
Benjamin and Bernice George
Back on the field since December 2023, they founded Victory Baptist Church in Posadas in 2024.

Church project
Equipment for the 32-acre camp
God has loaned our church 32 acres for camps, outreach, and church activities, on the condition that we care for it. A tractor, a mini excavator, and a skid steer, with the attachments they need, will let us care for and build on the land ourselves, and help build the church.

Sound and video for the church
Our church began in a small storefront with basic sound and video. Now we meet in an 800-square-meter warehouse, and that same equipment cannot fill the room. When it rains, it is hard to hear the preaching. This project gives our church sound, lighting, and video that fit the space.

Family need
Finishing our family’s home
We bought a small brick shell in front of the camp land and moved in before it was ready. Your gifts have already paid for wiring, plumbing, plaster, a bathroom, and a heated subfloor. Next come the floor, a water system, and a kitchen.

We sold our vehicle to help secure property, and now our family and staff share the one church van. A dependable vehicle, paid in cash, would keep the van free for the bus route and church trips.
