Church project

Equipment for the 32-acre camp

God has loaned our church 32 acres outside of town for Christian camps, outreach, and church activities, on the condition that we care for it. Right now we do that work by hand. Three machines would change that for years to come.

$115,000 goal

The story

How it started, and where we are now

  1. 2025

God allowed our church to use 32 acres of land outside of town for Christian camps and church-wide activities, with the condition that we maintain it.

  2. So far

We have done the work by hand. Two men once worked a full day on a pile of about 4 cubic yards of rock and still did not finish.

  3. 2026

Our family bought a small house right in front of the land and moved in.

  4. 2027

Lord willing, we will hold our first camps here.

What takes two men about three weeks by hand, these machines can do in a single day. Owning them means we stop spending ministry funds on hired machines and can do the work when it needs doing.

The same machines will help with church construction. We are also praying about 71 acres of land that could become the church’s permanent home, and these machines would help prepare it.

The need

What’s needed

Three machines, each a project you can give toward. Prices are our best current estimates in U.S. dollars. We will confirm final prices before we buy.

Tractor with cab

$25,000

The everyday machine for the camp: mowing and keeping 32 acres, hauling, and moving dirt and gravel.

  • Hanomag 800/4 with cab, made in Argentina
  • Mowing, hauling, and grading
  • Year-round work on the land

Pictured: an example of a compact tractor.

3.5-ton mini excavator

$35,000

Digs foundations, trenches for water and power, and drainage. Pulls stumps and moves rock.

  • Rippa R32, 3.5-ton class
  • Foundations, trenches, and drainage
  • Stumps, roots, and rock

Full-size tracked skid steer

about $55,000

Clears land, moves rock and dirt, and grades building sites, for the camp and for building the church.

  • A full-size tracked model sold here in Argentina
  • Land clearing and grading
  • Church and camp construction

We may start with a Rippa RS06 mini skid steer (about $20,000) and keep saving toward the full-size machine. Pictured: a skid steer at work.

Total for all three machines$115,000
